Q: Are your decorated tins safe for food? A: Material for tins is tinplate metal and it is a steel plate electrolytically coated with a fine layer of tin for protective purpose. Tinplate is a high quality safe packaging material for food items such as biscuits, cookies, candies, chocolates, etc. Food grade lacquer is coated on the inside of the tin to prevent corrosion and interaction of the tin with the food product, make it suitable for food storage.
Q: How should we create the design on a tin box? A: Prior to creating any graphics on a particular tin, we will provide a dimensional layout for positioning graphics. According to the tin construction, this positioning information is very important to ensure the proper placement of artwork onto each panel of the tin.
Q: What artwork file formats are acceptable? A: Adobe Illustrator and CorelDraw formats are preferred.Freehand, Photoshop, etc. are also welcome.
Q: Do you have any special varnishing effect on metal decoration? A: In addition to popular glossy and matt varnishes, crackle, wrinkle and pear varnishes can be provided.
Q: What is the MOQ for an order? A. Due to mass printing and production set up, minimum order quantity is roughly 3,000 - 5,000 pcs for large size and 10,000 pcs for small size of tins.
Q: What is the printing technology? A: Metal decoration is an offset printing process utilizing CMYK colors. Printing is done on large metal sheet first, then slitting into smaller piece for stamping and formation.
